I used Autodesk Maya 2013. --- I'm kinda new to animating and pen spinning in general, this was my first ever animation, expect a better modeled hand and better animation next time :) -

Hah, while I have 3DS Max installed I never learnt much of it and I've forgotten how to use it. In fact, with regards to the hand, a simple shape-based hand with wireframe rendering might simplify the pen spinning motions, so you're not distracted.
