I don't know how many of you have scales, but I've got one sensitive to 0.01 grams, and I can give you the masses of tips, grips, etc. I've got a buttload of pen parts, so I probably have what people are looking for B)

Due to how finicky scales can be, please keep in mind that these masses might be off by 0.01-0.03 grams. But they seem pretty accurate to me. Let me know if there's anything else anybody wants? Solid I'm not sure which kind you're precisely asking for, so here's 2 of the tips that I have:
Van I don't have a Hi-Tec C pen, but I was about to order some, so I can tell you then. I think "Needlepoint" refers to Jedo sharp or Staples metrix right? If not, let me know. They look exactly alike...Spoiler

Sorry Sorugio, I don't have any Airblanc parts (I had no idea how expensive they were). I'll look into buying one online. I don't remember what Airblanc's are typically used for. But I do have the Dr Grip COG grip (It's the foggy kind): Afrosquad, here's what you asked for :D Airfit Grip: Airfit Tip: I have a different Airfit tip, other than the one in the picture, which has a little bit more of a hollowed inside. Let me know If I measured the wrong one. I had no idea that there were different Airfit tips...) Double Capped Comssa (with backplug):

it seems like this should be part of a data base. I thought someone else a long time ago was trying to make one like this

A database is a good idea. In GPC there is a tiny database (very incomplete), i think this could be copied into the database. -

Yep if you had the time, it would be amazing if you logged each part and its mass. No pictures are necessary, just the data alone would be a really useful resource.

Here is a list with weights of pen parts from GPC http://forum.penspinning.de/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12642&hilit=pen+gewichte i think the weights of penmods are not accurate, but the list of tips, grips, caps and Bodies seems right -

Thanks for the links! I JUST started working on a database of masses of tips, grips, caps, barrels, etc. I'll take a look at what people have measured and I'll measure things myself. In addition to measuring mass, I'll measure the length, width, and thickness of parts. By accurately measuring the mass of the parts, it will allow me to compile a VERY specific measurement of mass for various mods. If I have the masses, I can determine the mass of mods by the summation of all of its parts. That way, people can approximate the mass and length of a mod before they start making one, by adding the masses of the parts that they use. Of course, with things like RSVP caps, there's going to be a degree of variability; But I might be able to find a general range or standard distribution of mass for items such as RSVP caps, which largely depend on how one cuts off the clip. Science!

I've been working on this index of pen tips, caps, barrels, grips, and backplugs and I'm finding my list of pen's masses, lengths and widths to be quite extensive. It's not finished yet, but when I do post it, I'd appreciate peoples' input about pens that I missed. I'm also including a list of substitute pen parts, the color options, and the brand/manufacturer. Also, I'm not sure where I should post it this forum when it's finished. I was hoping it could go somewhere where it's easily accessible for anyone. Any ideas?

Once you complete the index, it will be a very helpful and useful reference thread. As for where it should go, try contacting a moderator (@iMatts original thread. Hope this helps :) -
