Actually it is an pretty interesting question. Let's break it up. A battle is essentially just two people making a pen spinning combo to the best of their abilities and then recording it and publishing it for the public to judge. Now regarding your question. Both can be exciting. For example, if you have two spinners like Fel2Fram and RPD who have relatively the same style, battle, then it will be very exciting. many people would want to watch the combos they produce as it is to the best of their abilities. Now if you have two spinners like, Bonkura and Errior (which has a happened before) battle then once again it exciting and thus better to watch. So in conclusion, the battles do not depend on the style but the people who are spinning. If you have great spinners battling any battle will be exciting.

Different styles for sure I'm not to keen on watching the same old desk spin sessions all the time when people mix it up its great!
