I think some more often/update vote counts and updates on how many hours we got left for the day and how many hours left for the night is good. -

An Addict Annoymous group meets every week, but people in the group keep dissapearin' and no one knows who's responsible. A group of senators gather to discuss the appointment of a President Ex-Tempore, after the current Prez, and Vice-Prez go missing, but then begin to suspect one of their own as responsible A group of spies meet discreetly to discuss and share intel, but some among them are suspected counter-intelligence A group of animals come to discuss the state of the jungle after a few mysterious deaths within the jungle. A random group made up of 15-16th century explorers make an expedition to the "Dark Continent" and begin dying from a mysterious illness Whadduya think?

Yes, uh very nice,so i guess this is just roleplaying? It is pretty good in that case. Might be a interesting game EDIT: Hmm not bad @Shihab, not bad. One or two of them are just ridiculous. Like the jungle one, WHAT? A group of animals? Actually now that i think about it, isn't that bad. I think i might use that one. What do the rest of you guys think, about Shihb's ideas.

I think PS-related is fine, you can also adjust the roles and hints to be more easily recognisable for other pen-spinners who are not actually as familiar with the actual game of Mafia. It has been done before on UCPSB, I found it pretty fitting. In the end it's your choice though, do what you will. :)

As I said, he was undercover and I had to prove that by killing off shadowP and then killing him the day after. If I did that he counldn't accuse me for being mafia because I had killed shadowP and I could've just directed it to seem as him was trying to blame me to not get lynched as a way of defending himself. This would've made him even more suspicious. I did all of that while still proving to everyone that I was a townie. And supergirl, you kinda got played on soz. Ah, actually quite the genius plan Shihab now that I think about it. Shihab trying to get on the townies side by providing them with names of the mafia and claiming that he is a cop. While at the same time, I assume, he was telling his fellow mafias that he's going to gain the townies trusts by giving them names of the mafias. And since the mafias can't kill one of their own at night it puts Shihab in even more of a safe place as an unvercover cop/mafia. When actually, he is the undercover cop. Playing them all. If only you guys listened and lynched him.

Not really. I knew that Shihab was playing rather suspiciously. At the end of day 1 I came to the conclusion that Shihab is either mafia, undercover cop or the psychic. And I knew that he couldn't be the psychic since I was the psychic (which I didn't tell you guys of course). So I was right after all. -

Not to say he didn't play good but he had quite a few crucial flaws in his plan.. I don't even think he though about the mafia at all, he should've talked on the first night and gotten some kinda of plan to fool them then beginning to kill.

Yes, your theory. Which I agreed to try to further get people to lynch Shihab. But here's the deal, all game long I thought Shihab was mafia. Since Zen failed to give a good description of the undercover cop role and he told me that the undercover cop was on the alignment of the townies side. So my thoughts and theories got muddled up there. But in the end, I was kind of right, Shihab was a mafia, in so far as he only pretended to be a mafia. But anyways, lynching him would of been the right thing to do. -

Whether or not you think you gave a good description of the undercover cop, I still got confused. Whether that is because I didn't understand the role, or because your description is faulty is up for debate. But I do know that you did not accurately address my issues regarding the UC role. And I don't know what mistake you're talking about with arguing with Shihab. If by that you mean the reason it lead to my downfall then sure. I'll admit I played poorly for my role. But honestly it wasn't going to be fun to just keep quiet. I don't care if I lost, I enjoyed posting. I assumed you was going to host the next game. -

Ah it makes even more sense now as to why you wanted to lynch Shadow. You were a mafia and so you knew that Shihab and Shadow were also both mafias. So when Shihab started to accuse Shadow from false accusation you found this weird. And then you remembered the undercover cop role. And you correctly deduced that the undercover cop would be one of the mafias, since the cop is working "undercover" through reading rules of mafia elsewhere. So Shihab must of been an undercover cop. Ah right, I thought so too, but wasn't certain until it becomes confirmed by Zen, which he didn't lol. But I thought you read the rules elsewhere because in one of your posts it sounded like you read the rules somewhere else or something. Guess I must be mistaken. -

I believe i already apologized about this issue, up and down before. In any case sorry for not clarifying the role. No one said anything so i was led to believe that there would no confusion. But the past is the past. The undercover cop role idea was taken from wikipedia but i had to figure out the powers and conditions for it myself. It was a bit rushed if i may say so myself. Also the next game will happen in the summer, when everyone is free and more pumped up for the game. I will be the next host once again simply because i have nothing else to do during this time. I hope no one minds? If need be i will be sure to include some other people as hosts but i want to at least host a couple of games, i feel bad that my last game was a dud all due to me and inactivity of players. I would give you the chatroom @Supergirl but you would then have access to the thought process of past mafias so it would be a bit unfair to have all of that knowledge. PM want information you want. If you want Shihab's plan then i can give you that. -

@Zen I can see why it would be unfair. But then all the mafias would have knowledge of each other so in the next game if one is a townie and one is a mafia then there's going to be some stuff going on there. But I can see why you would preferred it to be contained. I would prefer to have access to the whole chatlog, but if you wish to not provide me with that and only Shihabs plan. Then sure, I'll take what I can get.

@Zen When you guys start the new game, there should be some rules in place to deal with inactives. For instance, if you don't post at least once during the day phase, you will die from inactivity. Or something like, if you only post once or twice during the day and if these posts don't contribute much such as "lol" or "hi" posts, then you die from inactivity. I've been in some other mafias games in other forums and its been pretty fun to have the night phase open for posts. You can't vote during this time, but its fun to have a casual chat (which seems unlikely on this board) or discuss strategies. And perhaps introduce some new roles. Such as a witness (a townie role) or berserk (a mafia role, which can be named as something else). A witness can watch a player, and if that player gets killed during the night, the witness will have witnessed the kill and will be told the name of a mafia (chosen at random). For the berserk, if lynched during the day, one of those that lynched the berserk will die (chosen at random and will never be a townie). Of course, more roles in the game would only be fun and not over powered if there are more players. The games I've played has around 20 players and there are loads of different roles. The day and night phases are also a lot quicker (ranging from 12 hours to 24 hours each), which makes the game more fun in my opinion. @Supergirl has not received a proper reply here is mine. I feel that there need to be something done with the people who are inactive. Before I have tried to make sure serious people join the game, or at the very least I intended to. I think people who have a record of being inactive should not be allowed. It ruins the game. Now supergirl you suggested that we just simply remove them from the game. Snip the dead weight, the sandbags of the balloon. It may have worked with your party but not with ours. We, in the past have barely been able to play because of a lack of players, that is why I kept the players who were inactive in hopes that they would reply. You had 20 players so it is understanderable that you were able to remove players. The roles are good idea but again we do not have enough people. You need to have at least the bare minimum. If we could get more players this is all possible
