because he is still a very good spinner. in fact, his wt13 r1 combo blew me away. yes, he did something stupid, but why would you not let a very good spinner compete? you are definitely right that he was rude, but i still think hes worth putting in wc14. -

So Baaron is a nice guy and provides a guest-combo for UPSB, even though he represents LPSA As a result, his LPSA combo should not be considered. BRAVO ZOMBO /EDIT: Corrected, Baaron now part of the LPSA video again.

So, regarding the fact that UPSB used their 3rd official collab (released like 3 or 4 weeks ago) as the qualification one, did the joining spinners know that it was going to be this way? Just curious.

I don't believe we knew, at least I didn't. Clearly Baaron was just supposed to be a guest spinner for that collab, and not still affiliated with upsb for WC or otherwise.

tbh i didnt think upsb 3rd was supposed to be the qualification collab, but since nothing got submitted, im assuming that it is. this means baaron and pixels are out of that collab.

To be fair, we didn't know if Baaron was even going to compete this year and we most certainly didn't know Pixels was going to spin for VPC/SGPSC. However, the collab was released with the full intention that it be used as the WC14 qualification entry--there was no discrepancy. However, after the fact, I did not believe that there would be an issue if one of our spinners defected. If I recall correctly, the rules state that the spinners featured in the WC collabs do not necessarily compete as a part of the community lineup. I don't see why this is a major problem. Everyone knows that Baaron is from LPSA. I truly don't believe any WC collab should be judged unequally based of these assertions. Hope there isn't any bad blood. Peace!

well its not explicit, but you also cant use spinners from other countries... you're only allowed spinners from your own community that wont spin in the WC at all. otherwise, theres nothing preventing you from using a JEB collab for qualification, which would make no sense. its a loophole that needs to be fixed -

There are several videos with very long intro/outro sequences while some have almost none. This rule is very shady because it does not specify the numer of combos/time of the actual spinning/length of the intro and I didn't think it would be enforced in any way.

Okay seriously we shouldnt give a shit about these kinds of details that dont matter. Penspinning should be about pure skill and not about who has made the best editing or the length of the collab. We should focus on improving important things like improving the judgement system etc. Imo nobody should get a penalty or anything because of a too short collab lol.
