[COLOR="blue"]** project Revision **[/COLOR] After much consideration we have decided that we made waaaaay too much fuss about video quality. We did that to enable the ability to use many more special effects like slow motion. It was a mistake and we apologize wholeheartedly. Our bad. We made it too hard and we see that now. Therefore we have made some major revisions to simplify the whole project since we want everyone to be able to participate that wants to. We have also decided that every single video that is submitted will be used in whole or in part. If you submit something look for it because you will see it in the collab in the order in which it was submitted. It's just that simple. Here are the revised guidelines and entry form greatly shortened and simplified. [COLOR="blue"]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/COLOR] Hellllo to all. A new modrod PS video project is in the works. Our vision for this video is different from a typical collaboration. Our intent is to illustrate how pen spinning has now become an international phenomenon. This project is your chance to introduce your city/county/country/continent [B](or PS club)[/B] to the rest of the spinning (and non-spinning) world if you would like to participate. Here are the guidelines. 1. [B]Incorporation of modrod Products and Logos[/B] You do not have to be spinning a modrod or modrod product for your video to be selected to be part of the collaboration, but would really appreciate it if you can figure out a subtle way to do it. 2. [B]Cut Off Date[/B]: SURPRISE - there' isn't one!!! This has now officially become an on-going modrod project. Send them in and we will put them in. All of them. It's just that simple. 3. [B]Video Quality[/B] For this project video quality is important to be able to do effects like slow motion. If you don't have access to a HD camera don't let that deter you, just understand it limits what effects we can do. But that's no biggie!!! Just make it best you can and we will be thrilled to have it, and will use it. Every single one of them. [B]We promise![/B] 4. [B]Settings and Camera Angles[/B] Since we want to not only showcase spinning, but also parts of the world, interesting settings would be great. If you have a famous setting near you, and you have easy access then please use it. Otherwise, just take some time to look around your place in the world. You see the same things everyday so may have to stop and ask yourself "What's the most unique thing in my everyday world/culture that others might like to see?". Could be anything. Be careful not to miss the obvious because you see it everyday. What seems ordinary to you could actually be extraordinary to us. Just look around! [B]Or then again just film where you usually do and send it in. We will use it and be thrilled to have it![/B] 5.[B] Video Length:[/B] However long you choose. We would love to see your best combo, but don't make it too hard on yourself since this is not a competition. If you can only do a very short combo cleanly and its only 3 seconds, that is perfectly fine and much appreciated. Big thing to remember is that the longer the combo, the greater the chance your favorite part may be left out. Of course, it will still be seen because when we release a video we will also post your video in entirety on our YouTube channel. 5. [B]IDENTITY[/B] Please, please, please do not give us your real names. Your best known alias/nickname is what we need. 6. [B]LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION[/B] We need your filming location, but again not your home address. 7. [B]Anonymity[/B] This is a biggie to us because we care about you. We would love a wide angle shot of you spinning in a cool location, but we do not want to see your face close up enough to identify who you are. We know that many of you post your face all the time on the Internet on a routine basis. Be careful about that. There are a lot of wacky people in this world. Always take reasonable measures to protect you and your family from those kinds of people (modrod social media tip!!). :) 8. [B]Safety First[/B] Above all other things, we are concerned about your safety, and the safety of others who may see your video. For that reason, we cannot use any video where you put yourself or anyone else in danger. Please do not try to incorporate any form of "risk factor" into your videos. And that's it! Do you agree to grant "perpetual license" to modrod to use any of your videos and/or images (in whole or in part) that you have submitted with this form? (NOTE: this does not mean you no longer have the right to use your videos/images.
