My friends started to play this game, and I found a free $10 PW card, so I decided to jump in. http://nw.perfectworld.com/ Its a fun MMO, but its more based off of doing quests rather then grinding and mobbing in dungeons (like Diablo, Torchlight, Path of Exile)

is there a set storyline to the game? Or do you just do random quests and stuff?

@Stymphalian there is a set storyline, and I believe in later levels you can create or pick your own quests to do.

@Zombo Its in open beta, so its playable for the time being. There aren't many bugs as I would have expected of an open beta as far as I had encountered, so its an enjoyable experience. There's the normal npc stores using gold/silver/copper as currency, an in game cash store using zen which you have to pay for, and an auction house using astral diamonds, which can be obtained in game without spending money but it is hard to get high amounts without spending some money. I used 1000 zen ($10) and opened 8 Nightmare lockboxes and got a total of 160k AD, which apparently isn't much.

thanks for the reply :0 I might try it out as long as it isn't one of those games where you really have to spend money to get better

You can start using no real life currency and end up with a lot of in game currency if you know how to merch well, but using in game money can help to kick-start your adventure.

I don't have a beta key; isn't it open beta? You just register then install the game
