The 16 best will advance to next round. - Round 1-4 1-1 Knockout The winner will advance to next round. The video must be between 10-30 seconds Participants will have 2 weeks for filming and judges will have 1 week for judging (except the qualification round, judges will have 2 weeks for judging) [color=blue]Video must be uploaded on YouTube or file sharing site[/color] (I'm highly recommend YouTube but if you have to upload to the file sharing site I recommend MediaFire or Dropbox, if it's other site I'm not sure I can download its.) i don't see how this is ridiculous in any way, there was asian cup in 2008 and no one seemed to say much there's also within-board tournaments (which are pretty much the same thing as this) every year, and no one says anything about it either after all, asian tournament is pretty much just combined within-board tournaments of asian boards :P -

There were Asian Cup 2009 and it's like community vs community(like WC). 8 communities(UPSB, PSH, KPSA, PDS, THPSC, HKPSA, JEB and TWPS) participated. There were 6 spinners per community so the total is 48 spinners. I don't know if there were some tourney for asian that be like spinner vs spinner(like WT). I just add some information about qualification round in the first post, every participants should read. -

@Tigres if you want to upload the slomo, you must use an editing software. You can attach the slomo in the end of your video or upload it on another video. Judges were required to judge at least 24 combo. About Lovelife and some other score, I'll ask judges to give an explanation why he has quite low score. @ you're the last boss in this tourney, I'll let the champion battle with you in 5th round. jkjk -

from judge 3 Kyotachi -confident spinning (no hesitation, no awkward movements) +for presentation/execution -developed style (unique from others, good flow) +for presentation/execution/creativity -good set-up (flat, plain background, good from hand, good lighting) + for presentation It was easy to see Kyotachi's spinning was at a higher level than many other spinners because of the way he spun. He was controlling the pen. Lovelife -hesitant spinning (shaky, odd movements) -undeveloped style (similar to others, bad flow) -bad set-up (un-even background, zoomed out) Lovelife's spinning was simply boring. Seen this type of spinning a lot where he is not controlling the pen, the pen is controlling him. His angle, and structure do not help. Judge 5 didn't give any comment and other judge score isn't too different. --------------------- I'll go to japan on May 20th and come back to Thailand on May 30th. During the trip, I'm not sure if I can or can't use the internet. I disagree with judge 3. First of all, Lovelife's style is refined and even though common ( judge 3's opinion ), shouldn't be taken into account ( even though i think his style is original as hell, only person that has close style to him is tbg tbh). The difficulty of lovelife's combo is much higher and kyotachi and is much more varied compare to kyotachi ( kyotachi's combo spammed like hell, filled with passes and 3 flta rev ._. I laughed at the "+ for creativity). While kyotachi has much better execution than lovelife, the difference at max should only be 1 point. I also disagree with the camera part. Kyotachi's camera is too close and lovelife's cam is at a reasonable distance. And talk about presentation, lovelife's background is nothing but wooden color and kyotachi's background is, well, messy :rofl: Most of your( judge 3 ) ups are on presentation and creativity ( which i think, frankly speaking, is stupid as hell ) and execution, then I could also argue that lovelife has a better combo structure,linkage and difficulty ( ups for creativity and difficulty ), a fine distance with camera and a clean background ( up for presentation ) and the only criteria kyotachi overtook lovelife is on execution. Both of them are my close buds, I'm not trying to defend lovelife because he s my friend or anything, but just that the reason doesn't justify my doubts. Have a good day! *I think I just lost ATR1*

No offense, but now i think the judging is a fucking joke. You judges dont understand shit. Im not trying to be anal because i lost, im just freaking angry by the shit i receive in the judging rubrics. I admit defeat and fine that zuo won, but the judging for mine is too damn ridiculous, no one actually sees shit in the stuff i do. The worst part is that tez won effect? You gotta be raping my balls. Not to diss him, but Tez have the same great of creativity or more creativity than effect? Do you guys even see linkages? You guys in general dont even know how to judge most of this categories. If I knew it was this bad, I would have given a combo that has only thumb around harmonic with fucking sparkles and flying shit, perfect in creativity, execution and presentation. I would have known better when ab7, and many vpc members were creating a large fuss over kyotachi. Screw you judges. Stop making yourselves clowns.

This tournament idea doesn't make sense to me considering that the only countries that wouldn't qualify are USA(not many world class spinners), Spain(there are maybe three), UK(6 maybe), half of France(only country populous with world-class spinners that gets left out), Canada(maybe 10), and Brazil(25 max). Those numbers probably wouldn't add up to 1/5 of the total spinners in the world. If there was a New World tournament there might not even be 40 people to submit.
