General Discussion / How to win WT?

This is surely the method to win the WT? -Learn a very difficult sequence of linkages and tricks. e.g. Thumbspin 6.5 -> Bakfall Reverse 2.0. This is insanely hard in terms of trick difficulty and linkages. 5 really hard tricks and 4 really hard linkages. Make sure the execution of this is very very very good too. -Finish with a short sequence of tricks, smoothly performed, that have never been linked together before, perhaps including a brand new trick. -Do this in every round. =Win

Then 0 in creativity. Then any spinner with 15+ total points wins

Please explain how it's zero for creativity? Did you read: "Finish with a short sequence of tricks, smoothly performed, that have never been linked together before, perhaps including a brand new trick." -

If you practiced 8 hours a day for a couple years you could probably win with just a FS

True. Hopefully it won't be like that in another 10 years. ^_^ -

I was thinking about making a perfect 20/20 combo, but it would take months of continuous practice just for ONE combo.; Basically condense your combo into three stages: Please the judge This is the starting sequence! Use complicated but well designed linkages for maximum flow! Making linkages prolonged in one direction with even spinning speed is very appealing to watch, this part of the combo appeals to presentation, some execution and some of the linkage part of difficulty. Vex the judge Once you're done demonstrating how good your spinning looks, throw out the hard linkages and brand new tricks, you should be aiming to get a rarely used or new technique down at least once every 2 seconds in this part of the combo. This appeals for the creativity segment and another piece of the difficulty segment Astound the judge Difficulty and hard tricks, an impressive finisher. Bak pop spin fall, but AVOID HIGH SPINS, as large spins are more lucky than difficult. If you're going to use large spins, show that they're consistent, for example 3x Pinkybak 3.0 will definitely stand out. Avoid common power links as although they are hard, judges will not feel impressed by them, try more interesting ones such as mirror haitua continuous that have not been done before. Lastly, execution needs to be perfect here, no mistakes, full control of the pen. Recording this kind of combo will take a few days.

There is no "way" to win the WT. I mean, pro spinners make a combo, and then record it. The combo comes from their creativity. Isnt it as simple as that?

Have crappy judges, do some weird but easy shit and hope for them to vote you to be the winner I'm just kidding.

if you want to make the same combo every round... It can be a 20/20 or 19/20 for r1, r2 maybe, but it will fail in next rounds. if you are saying any other thing, then :pickle: :pickle: -

You could also sleep with and/or bribe the judges. Although you probably have to still be pretty good and people will complain about unfair rulings.

^That only works for females. The majority of WT competitors, if not all, are guys.

just like peem,s777, use one hand, and make your combo easily breakdown, push the hard trick to a new level. If your style like cloud or kay, as ivabra said, that's not WT combo, you guy have more chance in WC.
