it's like a neobak, catch in the 12 ridge on top of your hand, turn your hand towards you, pen slides down off your hand, catch it, swivel

a variation: bak 12-23 > baktap > wristaround > fl ta
-
Date: Sun, Aug 22 2010 23:46:37
dragonaround = swivel 12-P => swivel P-12 (it was invented by shadowserpant and he used to begin it like a tap).
-
Date: Mon, Aug 23 2010 01:29:12
i thought that pyralux invented it and shadow popularized it
-
Date: Mon, Aug 23 2010 02:37:30
yeah, shadowserpant only invented the name and idk, i just think of it as: neobak > baktap ~ handaround ~ swivel but dragonaround is DEFINITELY not tw cobra bite > swivel. that would just be a tw cobra bite harmonic kinda thing =\
-
Date: Thu, Aug 26 2010 22:56:35
no, the first part is not a tw cobra bite, but a swivel 12-P.

instead of starting with neobak->baktap, is it the same to start with a shadow down the hand? or would that be like a handaround?
-

its an easier way to start (especially if you do the shadow from 34) but the meat of the trick is more or less the same doing the neobak > baktap start is more difficult and can add a lot to your style though ;)

any1 can make a clear tutorial easy to learn?
-

make a backaround that lands in 23. then, preform a backtap (now going the other direction) thwords p4. after, catch the pen and do a swivle =D

i get lost after the bak tap...where is it suppose to land?
-
Date: Thu, Sep 23 2010 00:25:43
i think u let it spin off your hand and catch it and then swiwel. tutorial here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDwmCtHdkzI

yeah um i just thought of the name a long time ago, pyralux essentially invented it, along with swivels. although bonkura recorded it first.

Dragon around really looks cool but hard to do... XD
-
Date: Fri, Nov 26 2010 23:56:28
i believe it is a twisted cobra bite followed by a swivel
-
Date: Sat, Nov 27 2010 00:04:28
@shadow spinner incorrect. more complicated than that
-
Date: Sat, Nov 27 2010 05:51:22
twisted cobra bite followed by a swivel would involve a direction change, since the two hybrids are reverses. the dragonaround does NOT have any direction changes.
-

All it is is a IPBA rev 2.0 > Swivel
-
Date: Tue, Nov 30 2010 02:58:04
there is a directional change since the first move you do fall to your pinky and then it goes back on top of your handand back to 12
-
Date: Tue, Nov 30 2010 03:22:55
it is definitely not an ipba rev 2.0 into a swivel. it is done from a baktap. and there is no direction change besides the neobak to baktap. i made this a while ago

@blahblahting Im still really confused of where its suppose and how to land!! Btw...ur swivels r really smooth...

you mean after the baktap? and lol, thanks xD -
Date: Tue, Nov 30 2010 03:53:17
@blahblahting yes after the baktap
-
Date: Tue, Nov 30 2010 03:58:28
@Darealone it may be easier to understand if we assume the neobak lands in 34 and the baktap starts in 34. assuming that, the baktap push would be the start of a pinkyaround. rotate your hand palm up while doing the pinkyaround part. once the pen ends up in your palm, do a swivel. if you dont understand still i can try to post a better quality video :/
-
Date: Tue, Nov 30 2010 04:02:10
@blahblahting so does it "fall off" 34 and land in ur palm then swivel?
-
Date: Tue, Nov 30 2010 05:54:42
jesus o_____o nice style blahblah!
-
Date: Wed, Dec 1 2010 00:30:48
baktap, falls off 34, twist hand then grab, and pinky swiv? got the falling off and grabbing it part. just the swivel wont swivel!!
-
Date: Wed, Dec 1 2010 02:33:36
@Darealone yes, i believe your thinking is right. a video would be nice though, just to make sure you have the right understanding

OMG. Insane trick. question: when its going around the pinky. Do you keep the pinky up like in a hai tua to prevent the pen from falling or just keep is down?
