Ok hold the pen in 23 and do sonic. Then again and again untill you learn this trick.

hold the pen in 23. hold the pen in 13. hold the pen in 12. Now do the same and try doing a charge motion in 13.

hold the pen in 23 then do charge and push the pen to 12, very simple, just practise more and more

First try to do it without the charge movement. When you'll do it right, just add the charge!

Watch a tutorial (Eso or KTrinh). Sit on your bed/couch/chair/carpet. Do a sonic. Fail. Do a sonic. Fail. Do a sonic........ SUCCESS. YOU CAN DO IT.

Do the thumb flap method, put mod in slot 23, then bend 2 a little, release and practice YOU CAN DO IT

Too true, never heard of anything that learned a sonic w/o the thumbflap. Of course it's possible, but it's harder imo. USE THE THUMBFLAP, YOU WON'T NEED IT AFTER YOU MASTER THE TRICK BUT YOU NEED IT TO LEARN. Oh, and just keep practicing and don't get impatient, every trick requires practice to learn it and excecute it smoothly. Patience is the key, get used to practicing as well, or you won't get very far if you just practice a trick for a few minutes and say "nevermind, I quit." That's what a couple of my friends did. -

Try to do a charge 23 first..once u master it, do a sonic without catching(or whatever) in slot 12, let the pen fall down, its ok...once you get that,do a normal sonic.try to close your middle finger down as possible.And another tips for sonic, when it is 0.5 rotation from the push , try to make index and ring finger near as possible to not let the pen fall down.Hope this helps :D

I suggest practicing a charge normal 13 (index and ring finger). After you master that feel, try a sonic. Or if that doesn't help, as suggested above, use the thumbflap method. :)
