Hello there! I started pen spinning 2 months ago, and I'm currently learning some tricks involving charge motions. Should I keep my thumb as far away from my fingers as possible? I find that my thumb always curls in whenever I'm doing a charge in general.

Do whatever you want with your thumb. It doesn't matter unless you put it where it will effect the pen

yea doesnt matter where your thumb is unless your doing a trick that involves your thumb like well only thing i can think off is tw sonic ~ fl ta then you gotta be ready and placement matters other than that nothing

as long as it doesn't interfere with the spinning itself it should be fine although it would probably help your style if you learn to keep it away. Having control of all your fingers at a time cleans up your spinning a lot, but it will get better the more you spin so don't worry about it too much.

I had this problem, try to keep thumb far, it's easy.

yes, you should keep your thumb away.. just do a hi-five figure on your hand then do the charges..
