[SPOILER=Tournament Rules] -Videos must be atleast 12 seconds long, the tournament videos, not the signup videos. -Must have been spinning less than 1 year or 12 months. -Must be committed to the tournament -Deadlines will be extremely strict unless the said person tells me that their video is going to be late. -The videos must have a sign which displays the name of the opponent. Only one person wasn't able to submit a video and that is goddamn amazing for a beginner's tournament. Really good job guys. no. It is necessary as 80% of the people who will sign up otherwise won't submit their videos during the tournament. The sign thing seeds out undedicated people from the start. -

It's Because UPSB doesn't have a nation limit, every spinner can join if they want (of course, in the way of the rules of the Tourney) And about the Singapore spinners, i only want to say "damn it, they are sooo hot right now..." xD GL everyone, i will see carefully want gonna do my dear Raus from CLPSA. Out of the 3, probably bakfalls the most, hai tuas second, and spreads third. Bakfall cause thats pretty much the beginner's anthem, hai tuas cause finishers, spreads cause spreads. This is all assuming they know the tricks and like to use them, btw -

The combos are judges while keeping in mind that this is a beginner's tournament. I am pretty sure the judges didn't judge the combos while comparing them to WT level, the judging is done for beginner's , not WT level spinners. As for who advances and what not, I will fix everything else tonight, I don't have time at all right now. -

Because it's discouraging as hell if you perform to the best of your current ability and someone judges your combo like this: Execution: 3/10 Creativity: 1/10 Appeal: 2/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Judging with a relative perspective is the only sane and reasonable way to go about it, otherwise it's just a big fuck you to anyone starting out. It isn't being patronizing, it's being reasonable. Besides, as long as a given judge keeps their method of judging relatively consistent, it doesn't matter at all. Please don't go out of your way to invent trivial things to criticize. -

hahaha i laugh so hard but it ok The combo was all over the place. Lack of control was huge, and the forced direction changes killed the flow Last sequence would have been nice if it actually did something, although it looks like a handaround, all its doing is turn wrist ->make it look like it goes around hand-> catch with palm-> repeat. Catching with palm just made the whole thing pointless. If you want to do it, should do FL TA after the turn wrist(especially finisher).The thing before was even worse, which was basically throw pen -> catch ^ was not appealing there were some difficulty in the arounds, but thats about it

I think there was foul play with KV and bio's battle. Especially Judge 3 who didn't see that 'turning his hand' was several pseudoswivels for the finish. He went off cam a little once due to a PD around but it wasn't out of control and I think it was kind of bullshit marking down his exe for that. Bio8 on the other hand had SERIOUS linkage and control issues, his easy double bust finisher was very nearly dropped for example and his linkages consisted of mainly passes. Plus he DROPPED THE PEN. I don't understand at all how you came to the conclusion.

As for Days experience, I have stated before that he replaced a spinner and I felt that it was better for a person to battle a spinner than not battle anyone.

I totally agree with you, and there can be no justification for such actions, but...it can be a big hit. U see he Beginner's and he in WT...its big how i thing responsibility, guy did not appreciate his strength. So I did not cover it, but I think everyone is entitled to a chance. I would really like to hope that this will not happen again with him. P.s. some times use google translator, maybe some words dont correct -

To be fair, that is a different tournament. It has no relevance to this one. He cheats on wt, he gets disqualified on wt. nothing more, nothing less. Unless he gets 'excommunicated' from pen spinning, which he's not, then there is no reason for him to get disqualified on this tournament for he has broken no rules. -

You are missing the main point lol. The point of a tournament, whether beginner or worlds, is to basically find out who is the best under that category. Chlps cheated in wt (even if no one noticed he probably wont even get through), implying that he is not good enough. The matter is rested and not as much of a fuss as minwoo's case because we treat it as just a childish act and furthermore, its too much of a joke to be considered an attempt for cheating LOL. If he receive disqualification from wt, it is not because he is being punish for being wrong, it is because he is deemed untrustable to be judged in the competition for the best. So for a case like whether he should also be disqualified for BGT, I personally feel is actually depending on the opinion of the judges if he is able to participate without creating nonsense.

For the trusting chlsps part, here's my two cents. He could not film the combo that he planned, and therefore stated in his youtube description that he wasn't able to film the combo he planned. This isn't exactly cheating since he did not try to hide the fact that he broke a rule. He simply just couldn't land his combo or whatever, and he accepted that. How is that cheating? failure to follow the rules and accepting your mistake =/= cheating. If he tried to get past the system and got caught, then my stance on this issue would be very different. -

Normally as much as possible, I would agree with you. However, I dont really catch your point of view. He said "couldn't film the combo i planned.......". From what you mentioned, you are implying that if he admits to everyone that he cut the video, it would not be cheating. I might agree with you in that case. However, there seem to be a sense of misunderstanding. Firstly, his message doesnt mean anything. Saying he couldnt film the combo he plan is not equivalent to saying he did the cut. Secondly, if i am not wrong, he only said that when taichi found him out. Thirdly, he submitted the video. The rules clearly states actions as such is illegal. If he submits the video, it just shows that he is trying to get pass the system. I doubt if he would even bother to go as far as to edit his combo if he didnt intend to submit it in the first place. Lastly, duhhhhhhh he even admits he cheated. Im not saying all these stuff to find fault with him. Imho, i even feel that he should be allowed in bgt because this shit probably wont happen twice after realising how obvious cuts can be, so dont get me wrong haha. Just understand the situation with the correct story. -

note 2: of course, it's not so much the raw numbers which matter (only final decision matters), but having 2 people on same number for a certain criteria implies they are the same level in that aspect irregardless -ahem judges again-
