I have problem with Inverse Sonic 34-23. I just can't do it cuz my ring finger doesn't lift up enough and at the half of Inverse Sonic, the pen just hit my ring finger and stop, so any tips from the people who can do this trick?

manually place the pen in 24 (with your ring finger sticking up and do a tipped charge from there.. this should give you some more finger strength and flexibility over time.. if you want to stretch ur ring finger more.. try touching your middle finger to your pinky finger and then have both of them touching your palm.. have your ring finger and index finger pointed up..this really stretches out the muscles in ur fingers.

Get good at twisted sonic 34-23. It's an easier trick and it kinda has the same motion as inverse sonic.

I'm already very good at tw. sonic 34-23 for a long time. For different and harder linkages, I want to be able to do Inverse Sonic 34-23.

I practiced the Inverse Sonic 34-23 before I was able to do a Twisted Sonic 34-23. I practiced to get this motion, so I was able to do a Twisted Sonic 34-23 before I was really able to perform a Inverse Sonic 34-23. I think KTrinh93 idea of practicing a Tipped Charge in 24 sounds quite good. I learned the Inverse Sonic 34-23 by practicing the Minicombo Double Charge 34-34 -> Inverse Sonic 34-24 ~> Pass 24-12 ( -> Neosonic 12-t1 -> Fl TA Rev t1-t1). In my opinion it was quite easy to learn the Inverse Sonic with practing this Hybrid (Inverse Sonic 34-24 ~> Pass 24-12). And performing a Double Charge 34 before doing a Inverse Sonic 34-24 ~> Pass 24-12 gives you enough momentum. greets MM

^ he's got a very good point ^ if you actually do something before the inverse sonic, its usually easier to execute because you have some momentum. for example, when i was practicing inverse sonic 23-12 i did a charge 0.5 before i did the inverse sonic. after a while i was able to leave out the charge 0.5 and just do the inverse sonic. perhaps that might help you with this.

Well, I wasn't suggesting to skip learning inverse sonic, just to get twisted sonic down first. But if you already are pretty good at twisted sonic 34-23, I don't see how you can have a hard time raising your ringfinger correctly, as it is pretty much the same motion as when you do twisted sonic 34-23. You are practicing it palm up, right?

Yes I practice it palm up. I'm spinning for almost 10 months and I'm very good at Double Charge 34-34 and it's reverse as well. Maybe I can't do it right now cause I never practiced it before. Anyway thanks for advices everybody, gonna work on it.

i remember when i first started i kept on doing the twisted sonic but like what all spinners say, practice. In the end i got it =D

so i have no idea how im supposed to link PD inverse sonic revs to other tricks I've been studying that video but i have no idea how to link from Pass rev 34-23>inverse sonic rev 23-34 Help? Thanks

Wow I honestly didn't think an old video of mine would ever turn up like this, that linkage is all in the palm turn and that the COB of your pen is on top of your hand. Just practicing Inverse Sonic Reverse 23-34 should help.

When doing inverse sonic 23-12, I start out with my pen held with fingers 1 and 3. If i do an inverse sonic starting from there, is it still considered an inverse sonic? On the USPB wiki, it says a charge needs to be done before it, but on youtube, the spinners there say that an inverse sonic can be dine without the charge.

Can you make a video of it? The way I'm understanding it, yes it would still count as an inverse sonic, but a video would clear it up for me.

@N Factorial i think it'd still count. Do you mean holding pen in 23 but your index is touching it too? And start off with no charge? I mean i think i've seen some tut doing it xD

Yeah, that is what I was talking about pretty much. I figured out how to do it with a charge this morning. Are both ways an Inverse Sonic then?

I don't think so because if you do a charge before your inverse sonic : you link two trick : Charge 23 (1x,2x,3x...) > inverse sonic 23-12 instead of inverse sonic 23-12

I'm still trying to get the basic basic Inverse Sonic, but I came across this thread so I figured I might as well ask... Many people use a half Charge 23 to do this trick. Is the Charge needed, or can Inverse Sonic be done as an independent trick?

You can do it as an independent trick, the charge is just to make the inv sonic easier to do. Ktrinh93 has a vid on that.
