All right. I have to choose a classic book to read by Friday. I have narrowed my selections down to Heart of Darkness (Conrad), Red Badge of Courage (Crane), Robinson Crusoe (Defoe), Moby Dick (Melville), Guilliver's Travels (Swift), Slaughterhouse-5 (Vonnegut) and Catch-22 (Heller). Which of these books are the best? I love to read, but I need something that isn't complete shit.

Catch-22 is my favorite book of all time. Most of the rest of those are pretty boring. Moby Dick is unreadable lol -

Too short to do the project on. That was going to be the book I read, but my teacher said it didn't have enough pages. -

pick moby dick, don't read the book but write about how a book can be popular despite having the word "dick" on the front page and how this demonstrates a progressive society.

It's short but probably one of the deepest books I've ever read.

If you think you can read and understand Catch-22 in two days, you're out of your mind.

I wrote that wrong. I have to decide that I will read the book by Friday. The actual reading is due in 7 weeks. @strat1227
