All right. I have to choose a classic book to read by Friday. I have narrowed my selections down to Heart of Darkness (Conrad), Red Badge of Courage (Crane), Robinson Crusoe (Defoe), Moby Dick (Melville), Guilliver's Travels (Swift), Slaughterhouse-5 (Vonnegut) and Catch-22 (Heller). Which of these books are the best? I love to read, but I need something that isn't complete shit.

Catch-22 is my favorite book of all time. Most of the rest of those are pretty boring. Moby Dick is unreadable lol

Too short to do the project on. That was going to be the book I read, but my teacher said it didn't have enough pages.

pick moby dick, don't read the book but write about how a book can be popular despite having the word "dick" on the front page and how this demonstrates a progressive society.

It's short but probably one of the deepest books I've ever read.

If you think you can read and understand Catch-22 in two days, you're out of your mind.

I wrote that wrong. I have to decide that I will read the book by Friday. The actual reading is due in 7 weeks. @strat1227
