expand+group --> (a+c) x^2 + (b-a) x - b + 5c = 18 sub x = 0 --> - b + 5c = 18 sub x = 1 --> a + c + b - a - b + 5c = 18 --> 6c = 18 --> c = 3 subbing c = 3 into - b + 5c = 18 --> - b + 15 = 18 --> b = -3 sub x = 2 and b = -3, c = 3 into original equation --> 4(a+3) + 2(-3-a) - b + 5c = 18 --> 4a + 12 - 6 - 2a = 0 --> a = -3 so a = b = -3; c = 3
