Ok, looks like Demonoid is down for good. Anyone know of any other good communities? First PirateBay response gets publicly mocked. Also, requesting DisplayFusion 4

Why don't you join a private tracker? Each one has a different focus, I doubt there are any all-purpose ones. (Demonoid is not private. It also sucks: I have a Demonoid account and always found TPB's torrents better seeded anyways) Btw in general, use torrenttree to search multiple public trackers for what you're looking for.
Use usenet you filthy pleb
Isohunt, eztv. Both can be a bit disorganised and haven't stuff you're looking for though.

Just use thepiratebay... I had a demonoid account for the longest time, whoaa, oh, oh, for the longest tiime, and it really wasn't that great.... Basically, unless you have something specific in mind, TPB and or google is your best choice. There are separate websites which rent more specific things better than TPB, but otherwise yeah... TPB's your go to girl.

pirate bay only had like really really popular common stuff. anything i looked for that might be niche or uncommon was never there and always on demonoid demonoid also had a kickass magic community which no other torrent sites have :( every new release was immediatly up on demonoid

Yeah demonoid was always there for the niche stuff. Will be missed :(

I've found plenty of stuff using Torrenttree, thanks Zaki. And after messing around a lot yesterday, I've also discovered that Kickasstorrents is really organised, a better isohunt.

None of that sounds like anything I even remotely want, so I'm still not sure why demonoid is bad for me. might be bad for you, but great for me.

No I'm internet elite https://dl.dropbox.com/u/16787166/g/private.png and so far I only had to invest about 150€ for my seedbox, put countless hours into building my ratio and trading my soul for invites to some of those trackers which I don't even use (let alone need)

Any one of those have "Covert Coins Part 1 by Charlie Justice" or "Monster" by Mott-Sun that's well-seeded? I already have them from demonoid but if you have somewhere that has that then it probably has a decent magic community, in which case I'd consider it

150... isnt it just easier to buy the stuff u cant find and dl the rest normally... wont cost as much

I also buy original CDs and spent even more money on that (obviously) but considering how much I already gained from what.cd, especially during freeleech time... A lot more than 150€ (plus all the movies and games and japanese tv shows... buying more hard-drives is the most annoying part)

all of those are completely dead lol, no speed at all .... this is why i'm looking for an actual torrent community, not just some clustfuck like pirate bay, people put stuff up there then it dies 2 weeks later

There is a torrent site I know but it's invite only so you'd have to know somebody that uses it.

Hijacking this thread - anybody got any ebook websites, specifically ones that carry mobi/epub files. The kindle is kinda bad at handling pdfs. Mostly non-fiction books if that matters. And it'd be cool if I can access the website, I don't need someone to tell me what the best private torrent tracker is that I can't/don't know how to get into.
