    if you know the basic stuff in a 3D program you can almost do eveything you want :D the basic isn't that hard to learn i think

    Start with google sketch up, it's really user friendly.

    I used Inventor in highschool, it's alright. Google sketch up is probably the best free option you will fine, it's what we use in first year engineering here at Uni. (It's not really... powerful, I guess. but it depends on what youre trying to do with it...)

    i suggest blender because its free, useful and its a really good 3D modelling editor.

    Cinema 4D is a pretty easy to use modelling program.C4D cafe has a ton of tutorials on it too.

    I personally don't know how to 3D model but my friend showed me some stuff he did on Blender. It's free and you should be able to find tutorials online for using it.
