Linkages & Combos / Theoretical Tricks/Hybrids/MiniCombos/Linkages

A Forenote A theoretical trick/hybrid/minicombo/linkage is one that has not been caught on camera yet and is only an idea to show off, in the hopes that one day they might be able to perform it and to see if any more advanced spinners can see how feasible it is. The idea of this thread is to help come up with more imaginative ideas that broaden pen spinning, by removing the restriction for creativity by pen spinning skill, thus allowing new ideas to be formed. Moderators, please move/lock/delete this thread as you see appropriate. Guidelines:

Be imaginative with your ideas.
Avoid simply explaining extremely hard continuous power linkages
Look to creative spinners like Fratleym, Freeman, Hippo and Fel2Fram for inspiration
Don't worry about how difficult your trick sounds; peem's finishers were once thought to be impossible.
To start:
Description:

Starting like a cobra bite, the pen goes fully around all the fingers, but not over the thumb to the top of the hand again, where a fingerless twisted cobra bite is performed.
    Difficulty:

7/10, I have been able to land this tricka few times, but it is tricky to handle.
    Possible Breakdown

Swivel Reverse 12-P1234 ~ FL PinkyRingMiddleIndexAround P1234-12 0.5 ~ FL Swivel reverse 12-P1234
    Extra Notes:

The pen is not caught after being initially released until the final cobra "bite"
It is instead manipulated in mid air with fingerless arounds by moving the entire hand.
The pen should slide over the top of the hand like a normal cobra bite after the PinkyRingMiddleIndexAround
The final cobra bite is said to be "Fingerless", despite a twisted cobra bite being fingerless anyway. This is due to the fact that the pen is not 'released'.
Description:

A TA reverse is performed, followed by a handaround to a grab. Finally, a reverse aerial shadow is performed with a throw.
    Difficulty:

6/10, I have been able to perform one, albeit sketchy. The mirrored handaround is confusing.
    Possible Breakdown

Mirrored Ext TA T1-34 ~ Ayatori Grab P1234 -> Mirrored Ayatori Throw P1234-12
    Extra Notes:

Mirrored extended TAs are extremely difficult and confusing to perform

  40. Joiemoie
    Date: Fri, Jun 15 2012 02:28:28

Go on an upside down roller coaster, do a quadruple hai tua starting on the bottom of the loop. On the fourth handaround, you should be at the top of the loop, then slam your hand downwards so the pen flies off your pinky finger in the direction of the ending point of the loop.. Let the pen spin however many times you want and fall to the bottom of the loop. Hopefully, you put the exact amount of force such that your coaster and the pen reach the same point at the bottom of the loop, and catch it in fingerless thumbaround position. Simplified explanation: Do a power trick on an upside down roller coaster and drop the pen off the top of the loop, and catch it at the bottom.

Cont. transitional PD power pass? That's probably a really bad way to word it but like start at on 34 of one hand and do a power pass and when you hit 12, pass the pen to 12 of the other hand and do a rev. power pass till you reach 34 of that hand when you pass it to 34 of the other hand and so on. Never seen this done before, but it seems like an interesting idea

Fake Reverse Palmspin: You start off with a reverse Ta, then do 0.25 palmspin but with the end of the pen still in your thumbflap so the pen ends up being in a position like you want to do a charge with a Thumpflap push. Difficulty: Quite easy but confusing
